The story is as good as any other involving a big idea, and is a good read.The idea here, however, what makes it really unique, is that in order to combat the enemy the people have to employ a very advanced scientific process beyond anything in use today. Today we have the Scientific Method, and other thought devices to help us solve problems. It makes you think "How will the people of tomorrow solve their problems?" Their must be better ways. And once enough knowledge is gathered, the result must be obvious. It is similar to the way in which my teacher tried to show me better ways to solve math problems. All of this against an enemy who is fighting a war on a galactic scale that is much smarter than us. How will we survive?
It's a good book, but very deep.
